Little Girl Vanished – Denise Grover Swank

Women’s Detective Fiction, Women’s Sleuth, Mystery

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I am a huge fan of Denise Grover Swank. However, I do not read everything she writes. Two things drew me to her new Harper Adams series, first the main character Harper is a detective fallen from grace. If you have not read any of Denise’s previous series, she is amazingly talented at writing mystery stories with strong female characters, down on their luck who engage in some type of detective work. These are the type of Denise’s books that I live for.

Second, SKEETER is back. While I love how Denise tied up the original series that James “Skeeter” Malcolm was apart of and I wouldn’t change it. My heart also loves Skeeter and the hopeless romantic in me wants more for James and his story. I am invested in the many facets of James and his character.

I enjoyed seeing Harper’s character at a low point and I can not wait to see what Denise does with this character to portray Harper’s growth in future books. Thank you Denise for writing Harper and more James!

I look forward to book 2, “Long Gone: Murder in a Small Town” coming out in 2024! It’s available for pre-order now!
